Wow…..did I say that loud enough? WOW!

The setting is awesome and the cars are better.

The Elite and Just Clean VWs show at Town Square is an extremely cool thing. For the next couple posts I’m just goin to do pics. If you have any questions just post them on the facebook fan page.

Well last nite we just walked and talked, more on that later.

Today we woke up early and eadt to hit the shows. Here you can see Don and Lemorris looking for the perfect umm…..dress?

Here’s a quick map of the route we decided to take.

One wrong turn and 45 lost minutes but I’m thrilled because I saw Yucca which spawned The Beast of Yucca Flats I assume and if you have ever seen that film…you know why I’m so happy.

Ok it’s a bad picture but I swear the driver had wild hair, a dingo (with a baby) and a boomerang. We drove through Wikiup where they have 7 roudabouts in a 3 mile long town. We got so frustrated we decided not to stop for precious juice.

Note: Don is singing the theme song from Officer and a Gentlemen. My ears are bleeding.

Well we made it through Phoenix!

Since there has been plenty of gas expelled inside the truck, we thought we’d put some in the tank.

I’m in the truck 5 minutes:

Cheryl (Mrs. Wiggins) – “No more snaking…no more snaking.”

Chuckling ensues.

What goes through a guy’s mind at 4am as he’s waiting for his ride to pick him up?

Translation:

Why are you awake? Do you not know it’s 4? Are you out of your mind? Why do you carry “composition” books when all you do is sketch in them? Is it rude to carry a mini tripod in your front pocket in hopes that you will be able to make the “happy to see me” joke? How many cool VWs are you about to see? How many cool VW people? Is that a snake? Oh…it’s just your knee.

Maybe it doesn’t make a whole heck of a lot of sense, but then again that’s pretty much what this guy thinks about all day.

How fun is that?

p.s. Yeah…that is an old issue of CARtoons Magazine. I have stacks going back to the 70’s…with iron-ons.

OK looks like we’re ready to hit the road. The technology is working as good as it’s gonna and my list of important supplies like pencil and paper and back hair removal gel was fulfilled by a quick stop at Walgreens.

I spoke with Don (actual Don) briefly before leaving the office. He said that we may spend some time apart in Vegas but if I needed him all I have to do is find an elevated location and call out his name. He assured me that it pretty much didn’t matter where he was at, he would come runnin to see me again. Then he went into a seasonal weird thing about it but I lost interest.

My focus fell to tomorrow.
