Day 3…the weekend was a blur and Day 3 was blustery to say the least. The entire trip my straw hat has been slowly falling apart, and right when we got to the vegas show I saw a guy setting up and he had the same hats so I got one!

I was pretty happy about it until the wind kicked up and carried me 20 feet. The Bugorama itself wasn’t as dynamic as the Bugorama events I’m used to like the Phoenix one so I was a little surprised. regardless it was way cool meeting up with good friends like Fro who managed to get there from England. In the pic below you will see that apparently there was a “Made in Mexico” sticker on the inside of my new hat that I was unaware of until this picture was taken.

The Wagen is a VW Shop in Las Vegas. They host a very popular pre-Vegas Bugorama event.

personally I love the logo so I bought a shirt right away and a cupcake because I don’t think I’ve ever seen cupcakes sold next to shirts at a VW event and that is enough to hook me. Many of the cars that were at the Town Square event showed up and there was a number of “new” to me cars as well.

Now…obviously the Town Square show impressed me a great deal.

I was able to back to the hotel and take a bit of a break. Conversating with my new friend Cory was a blast. Great stories, great times.

I did make a semi-spectacle of myself in the elevator but it was necessary to capture the Flintstone shirt.

Well last nite we just walked and talked, more on that later.

Today we woke up early and eadt to hit the shows. Here you can see Don and Lemorris looking for the perfect umm…..dress?

Here’s a quick map of the route we decided to take.

Ok it’s a bad picture but I swear the driver had wild hair, a dingo (with a baby) and a boomerang. We drove through Wikiup where they have 7 roudabouts in a 3 mile long town. We got so frustrated we decided not to stop for precious juice.

Note: Don is singing the theme song from Officer and a Gentlemen. My ears are bleeding.

I’m in the truck 5 minutes:

Cheryl (Mrs. Wiggins) – “No more snaking…no more snaking.”

Chuckling ensues.

It turns out tomorrow came faster than some of the other Chirco employees would have liked.

Poor Tabi, pleading with all her heart “Don’t go!…Don’t leave me here with Don!”……”What?…Don’s goin with?….Well get the _____outta here!”

and then there’s Jon Bol…his face grotesquely contorted by anguish…”Don’t go Lemomo! I can’t live, if livin is without yooooouuuuu”

The virtual pool of tears made it hard to leave, but fortunately I’m a Navy certified class C swimmer so I was able to doggy paddle into the sunset.

We’re a tight team at Chirco and though all of us will not be going, we will bring the spirit.
