Im lookin to get a 69 bug with a 1835 motor...i wonder how reliable is it to go 300 miles in a day with this thijg

It really depends on how well the thing is built and maintained. Are all of the cooling tins installed? Is the electrical in decent shape so something doesn't fail every time you turn around? Clutch and throttle cables not frayed? Brake cylinders in good shape? Etc etc
 Are u talking about 300 one day or 300 every day?
I would do a lot of local driving first to find out the temperment of the beast.  10 thirty mile trips will put more wear on the car than one 300 mile trip, but it is a much larger PITA if it breaks down 100 miles away rather than 10 miles. I have taken several 200+  mile round trips in mine and it has never failed me on those runs and it is not taken care of as well as it should be, but she has failed a few times less than a mile from the house. A considerate little biotch I must say.

Ya this is just in one day....after the it wont be doin more then 30 a day...ima look at it tonyt the guy says he has never had a problem with it n the engine only has alil over 1000 miles on it n he said he takes good care of it but ill c i guess...thx on wht to look out for

Well i looked at it and it drove pretty much perfect...needs a front end allignment...but the engine was in awsum shape n no slips or grinds with the tranny..only thing is he tried a eletric windows um ya no go there a Hey Mama to get up n it needs lil stuff besides tht like a bulb to c the speedo at nyt n a paint job...ima check it out in the day time again n c if i cant find more..
