Does anyone know an after market screw-in type ball joint (similar to the mopar style) that will fit the taper on a ball joint VW bug front end?

I'm making a custom double wishbone supension for up front.

If you know the taper specs for that ball joint up front, that would help also.

thanks!
Matt

Unfortunately, no.

BUT, just as some added encouragement, a while back all the big-name offroad racers changed from the old beam-style front ends to A-Arms - now the next evolutionary performance step in racing over here in Oz is to ditch the A-Arms and go double-wishbones (although I'm assuming they got the idea from the US in the first place) , so you're definitely on the right track.

I found these cool extenders to use heim joints on a VW spindle. Was planning on making my own but might as well buy these.

Any opinions?

depending on your travel, you may have to have high misalignment spacers with your heims.  those do not look long enough for that
