I got a 71 SB that has been cobbled together and I think they used steel brake line for the fuel line.Will this work or is it to small to get enough fuel all the way to the carb?It seems to run but I dont want it to start dieing on me when Im on the open road. Huh

You sure it's brake line and not steel braided fuel line? what size is it?

I've got seamless steel 1/4" fuel line from NAPA. It comes in a 25 foot roll for about $30. Easy to work with.
IMHO couplings in a fuel line should be avoided.
