Progress: 9-tracks final mix done, 1-track 85% - although unfortunately I doubt if I'm going to have the time to finish the other two I was aiming for, so you're only likely to get 10.

Hopefully I'll finish the remaining 1 today, cut them to CD tonight and try them out in the car cd player over the weekend to see whether the final mix is OK. Racing tomorrow so won't have any more "music time" until next week now - and I'll be playing in the dirt with some of the big-boys so I very much doubt I'll score a podium this time, but, stranger things have happened.

Cheers ... Kimbo

OK, all 10 tracks done & dusted; reviewed, remixed and under final review today - a couple of tweaks to the final EQ over the weekend and we should be home 'n hosed.

Don/Lem: expect something in the post in the next couple of weeks.

G'day from not so Sunny Alabama.  Rainy season up here at the moment.

Just wanted to say howdy from a mate upover.  Love the Aussie culture, and especially the SA folks.  At risk of offending,  Go Crows!  I'm actually bi-lingual.  I can say Roll Tide (Alabama Crimson Tide) or Go Crows.

I'm actually from Alabama, but the better half is from the Barossa Valley, via Port Pirie.  I've been down under 7 times, and hope to make the 8th trip next year.

We'll have to try to meet up in Adelaide somewhere next trip.  Would love to see the buggy.

No probs - sounds like a plan to me. No offence taken re. the Crows, I don't follow football much, espcially since my team moved from LA back to Oakland (we wear the black, we wear the silver !!) LOL - big Raiders fan from way back, and I've never got in Aussie Rules (but keept that quiet otherwise I'll be lynched).  Drop me a line if you get over here and we'll see what can be worked out !

I won't hold the Raiders thing against you Kimbo, everyone has their flaws.  Grin   I've been a Denver Bronco fan (6-0 now!!) from birth (born and raised in Colorado), it is bred into us to be "Raider Haters".   headbang

Wow, that was my second year of playing grid-iron in the UK - loved the game, but the "it's just a matter of time..." knee injury that year forced me to give up two years later. Started off playing offensive line, but fortunately we got bigger guys join and I was too quick for the line, so they moved me to tail back. For the next two years, until the knee got so aggravated I couldn't play any more, I alternated between there and outside line backer - man I loved that OB position..., hit anything that moved even if it wasn't carrying the ball, 3 years playing, 2-sacks, 2 interceptions, 1 TD, 1 concussion and far too many visits to the ER to get bits put back in place.

Yep, that's right - not soccer football, or Aussie Rules football or any variant of rugby (although I played that for 5-years as well) - the type of FOOTball where use of the foot to kick the ball is typically limited; where the players are said to be so soft they have to wear pads and helmets; where (during certain games) some people are rumoured to have had two birthdays in the first half; where John Madden figured out that if he drew enough lines on the screen no-one would be able to decide what he was talking about or whether in fact he was referring to the play that had just finished; and finally where folks are still trying to figure out if North Dallas 40 was really based on Tom Landry and the Cowboys, or whether it was simply coincidence !

... or Aussie Rules football... where the players are said to be so soft they have to wear pads and helmets;

That mindset amazes me.  Yeah, Aussie Rules is a tough game.  But the average player in Aussie rules is about 6'2, 220 lbs for the BIG guys.  That's a lil' fella in grid-iron.  Some of our BIG BOYS are hitting the 300 mark at 6'4" in high school ball.  The so called pads, don't really protect them from being hit.  It protects them when they're hitting something else.  And hitting it HARD.  When some of our players hit ya with the gear on, ya might as well have stepped out in front of a Mack Truck.

My step-son is from Oz, and he'll tell ya real quick after playing both games, grid-iron players ARE NOT SISSIES.  My wife used to think the same thing, until she got to see some high school games up close, and realized that was her child out there playing nose guard.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. When I was playing (this is a slightly long story) Frank Bruno (UK heavyweight boxer) was fighting Tim Witherspoon (I think - it was either him or Bone Crusher Smith, can't remember exactly which it, but Witherspoon's seems more likely, and either way Bruno lost), and the fight was held at the hotel that sponsored my team.

We had a couple of Witherspoon's entourage come out to train with us one day - one of them had been a wide receiver in college and he was massive (compared to us) - only tried to tackle him once, and bounced off - receiving a pass from him was like being hit by a shell.

That particular boxing event was huge for me, as I also got to meet Don King and Muhamed Ali - it was sad to see the great man in a wheel chair.
